Ken Schafermeyer is professor of Pharmacy Administration and Director of the Office of International Studies at the St. Louis College of Pharmacy where he has worked since 1990. He has published extensively in the areas of health-systems management, managed care and health economics.
Previously, Ken served nine years as a state pharmacy association executive and lobbyist and served as consultant for several managed-care and Medicaid agencies. Ken earned his BS in Pharmacy from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, an MS in pharmacy administration from the University of Tennessee, and a PhD in pharmacy administration from Purdue University.
In addition to BHA, Ken serves on the board of directors for the Walbridge Settlement Foundation, and volunteers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and for Habitat for Humanity. During the last 12 years he has participated in or led numerous Global Village Missions for Habitat for Humanity in 14 developing nations, including Ghana, Botswana and South Africa.
